Deciding 2019 was going to be 'a year of change' to improve my health and wellbeing I set myself a challenge for the year to live life using less. I needed to cut down our impact on the environment, recycle more and cut out cleaning and bathing 'nasties' that we seemed to have accumulated to become routine over the years. We didn't need half the 'stuff' we had, we weren't being healthy and we took short cuts to 'save time'.
After doing lots of research, I started to make my own soap, with the intention of getting rid of some of the bottles in our bathroom. I learnt more about the amazing benefits of essential oils and I realised that I could improve not only our skin and hair health, but also our home environment.
My soaps are naturally made using a traditional cold process, with high quality Organic Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Castor and Olive Oil. I use Essential Oils with their wonderful skin health properties. I keep the ingredients simple, (reducing risk of allergies) and the quality high, using organic and sustainably sourced products.
My packaging is either recyclable, recycled or compostable 'plastic', made from starch. Many of my soaps are Vegan.
As well as my soaps, I have now licensed my own SLS free Shampoo and Conditioner bars, Body Butter and Shower Gels. Plus a selection of Home Fragrances. Alongside my own products, I also offer other handmade products supporting other small UK companies that use organic, natural and plant based ingredients. The products are all tested on friends and family only!
